Dangers of having Casual Sex

A person becoming polygamous is at a much higher risk of contacting sexually transmitted disease than a monogamous person as the partners they choose are almost always polygamous themselves.  Having unprotected sex with a person can lead to very severe consequences and the risk of contacting gonorrhea to a killer disease like AIDS becomes a possibility.  A report from John Hopkins informs us that 25 percent of girls aged between 12 and 19 have been infected with either Chlamydia or gonorrhea. Chlamydia is a disease which results in symptoms like pelvic infections, severe urinary discomfort, arthralgia, sore throat, cough, myocardial infections and infarctions, and death.

Studies performed on the sexually transmitted disease show that more than 50 percent of young people who have slept with more than 3 partners in a year have sexually transmitted disease and more than 40 percent of polygamous adults suffer from venereal diseases like gonorrhea, syphilis, Chlamydia etc.

Predominantly the first tell tales signs of venereal diseases are urinary discomfort, mucopurulent discharge from genitals, ulcers in some cases and other allied symptoms like malaise, fever, skin rash, abnormal thirst, weakness, anemia etc. The persons who observe such signs and symptoms in themselves soon after an affair or casual sex should consult a physician immediately as they are the starting symptoms of the sexually transmitted diseases.  If not treated immediately, these symptoms will give way to severe pelvic infection, foul smelling mucopurulent discharge from the genitals, extreme pain and swelling, and finally infertility and sterility.

The modes of treatment are prompt diagnosis, administration of appropriate antibiotics, abstinence from any form of sexual activity, plenty of fluids, and rest.  The partners with whom the infected person has had sex should be brought under the same care as either the victim has been infected by them or has infected them as well during the sexual episodes.
